EJWN August/Elul Community Gathering

T’shuva (תשובה): Return to Health for Body, Mind & Spirit
with Kohenet Sephirah Oshkello

Friday, August 18, 2023
10am PST | 1pm EST

Together we will engage with tools you can use for the month of Elul as we prepare for the New Year with reflection and renewal. We start with self-forgiveness, learn how to reduce inflammation, and make commitments that bring health and vitality to your whole being.

What to bring: bring a journal and clear a space for movement.

This session is a taste of the Elul Journey: Anti-Inflammatory Reset, a month long program that Sephirah is leading. Find details on the full program here.

As a Kohenet, health coach & earth-based nutritionist, Sephirah Oshkello guides people toward healthy lifestyle changes with engaging group and individual work via telehealth and at Living Tree Alliance (the reimagined Vermont kibbutz). Sephirah loves integrating Jewish traditional practices into a holistic lifestyle amongst family and community that is relevant to our modern times. Through community events, educational programs, and embodied workshops & rituals, she integrates homesteading practices with the Hebrew calendar and the ancient teachings of Jewish tradition that bring meaningful connection and healing transformation. Sephirah is nourished by being connected to healthy food, cooking, growing food, living amongst community & family, celebrating the cycles of the Jewish calendar, walking in the woods, teaching, learning and soaking in hot baths. As the Executive Director of Living Tree Alliance, she is committed to redefining community, regenerating land, and revitalizing Jewish culture.

EJW Community Gatherings are offered monthly as part of the Embodied Jewish Wisdom Network. Become a member to attend these events live, or to view after, and connect with our growing community!

We gather once a month as close to Rosh Chodesh (the New Moon) as possible. Each month, different members of our collective guide us in creative, connective Jewish movement & embodied text study experiences. Embodiment modalities include Alexander Technique, Authentic Movement, Body-Mind Centering, Chanting, Dance, Embodied Mindfulness, Qi Gong, Yoga and more! Recordings are made available within one week of each event.
