Torah Yoga Retreat: Awakening Our Ancestral Roots
with Diane Bloomfield, Sharon Epstein, Arthur Kurzweil, Ashira Katz, Julie Emden, Mark Russo, and Nancy Wolfson
Join us on retreat at the Isabella Freedman Retreat Center in Northwestern Connecticut-- a lakeside, Berkshire mountain setting. Together, through the study of Jewish wisdom and the practice of Yoga, we will reveal and illuminate the Torah within our body, mind, heart and soul. Step away from the rhythm of everyday life, as we create an “island in time”, moving joyfully into our “Torah of Life.”
We will connect to and strengthen our shared ancestral roots through: Yoga practice, Jewish text study, meditation and prayer, enriched by genealogy, art, dance, nature and food. We will enter the retreat through the spiritual gateway of Shabbat. Our weekdays will be filled with the deep wisdom and light of our communal and personal ancestors as we invite them to guide us and strengthen our lives.
This experience is for all who are looking for a vibrant, spiritual retreat. We welcome people of all faiths and levels of observance who would love to delve and delight in the study of Yoga and Judaism. Meals are kosher with vegetarian and vegan options, prepared using organically grown ingredients from the onsite Adamah Farm.
All are welcome. No previous experience in Yoga practice or Torah study is necessary to participate.
