This (Too) is The Way — Sojourning as teachers in the shared pathways of Jewish embodiment

Monday, January 26, 2026
10am PST | 1pm EST [90 mins]

With Yoshi Silverstein of Mitsui Collective

At Mitsui Collective, we typically define embodiment as “our way of being.” As teachers of Jewish embodiment, we are tasked with bringing our students along “The Way” while we too strive to navigate our own journeys alongside them.

In this session, we’ll dive into shared learning, conversation, and practice around what it means to teach Jewish embodiment from a place of authenticity, skill, responsibility, and care in the ongoing personal and collective journey of becoming.

Yoshi Silverstein (he/him) is founder and executive director at Mitsui Collective and creator of the Mitsui Method system of Jewish embodiment. A student of the human body and spirit, he has over 25 years of experience as a Jewish educator, facilitator, and creative practitioner of movement and somatics, martial arts, music, and nature-based experience.

Yoshi is a recipient of the 2022 Pomegranate Prize from the Covenant Foundation, and a 2021 “Grist 50 Fixer” building a more just and equitable future. He holds a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture and certificates in spiritual entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, permaculture design, and environmental education. A Chinese-Ashkenazi-American Jew, Yoshi holds a 2nd degree blackbelt in Lotus Kajukenbo and currently studies Chinese martial arts. He lives in the Cleveland area with his wife and daughter.
