Ometz Lev - A Strong Heart: Cultivating Resilience through Creative Movement and Expressive Arts with Davida Adelberg
Where can we find “Ometz Lev,” a strong, resilient heart? Through creative movement! We will “move” and “be moved by” its Hebrew letters, explore their kabbalistic meaning, and further our understanding via drawing/journaling. Learn Davida’s holistic approach to teaching Hebrew letters, whose spatial design connects us to Jewish spirituality.
Davida is an enthusiastic teacher of Jewish Studies and Beginning Hebrew in a Religious School setting. She guides creative movement from the Alef-Bet gestures created by Stan Tenen, to inspire a new level of understanding for her classes for children and affording them a deeper, more spiritual meaning to the Hebrew letters and the words/messages they convey. Davida is most appreciative to be a 2023 graduate of EJL’s Embodied Jewish Wisdom Advanced Teachers’ Training course.
Each meeting, different members of our collective guide us in creative, connective Jewish movement & embodied text study experiences. Embodiment modalities include Alexander Technique, Authentic Movement, Body-Mind Centering, Chanting, Dance, Embodied Mindfulness, Qi Gong, Yoga and more! Recordings are made available within one week of each event.
