IN PERSON at Temple Sinai
South Burlington, VT
This workshop combines traditional and mystical Jewish teachings about the High Holidays with a Yoga practice so that we can embody and experience the essence of the High Holidays in a new way.
The Jewish New Year is a time of new beginnings and renewed commitment to living in physical and spiritual alignment.
We will begin with time for self-reflection and journaling. You will consider and explore key teachings from the Jewish mystical tradition: focusing inward, reconnecting to your essence, and the practice of surrender. The majority of time will then be spent in a Yoga practice interwoven with these themes. You will have time for rest, integration, and reflection again at the end of our time together.
You will walk away refreshed and renewed on all levels of being - mind, body, heart and soul. Integrating Jewish teachings and a Yoga practice can deepen your experience of the High Holidays by bringing new insights, clarity and a sense of wholeness as you enter the Jewish New Year.
No previous experience with yoga or knowledge about Jewish Holidays is required. Please wear comfortable loosely layered clothing in which you can easily move.
