Holding the Light - Hanukkah Gathering

Holding the Light - Hanukkah Gathering

Song, Movement, Candle-Lighting & Community for the Final Night of Hanukkah

Thursday, December, 14th
4pm PST | 7pm EST [1 hr]

with Miriam Raziel Kanani, Scott Shalom Green & Julie Emden

This special one-hour EJW Network Community Virtual Gathering is free and open to all!

Pre-registration is required.

In the Jewish mystical tradition, our sages teach that when we light the Hanukkah candles, we rekindle an eternal hidden light  (אוֹר הַגָּנוּז/Or HaGanuz) that is always present within the world and within each of us.   Join us in community with song, gentle movement and contemplative candle lighting for the final night of Hanukkah.

This EJW Community Gathering event is a gift offering - free and open to all! Tax deductible donations to Embodied Jewish Learning in lieu of workshop fees may be made to our fiscal sponsor, UpStart, in support of the Embodied Jewish Wisdom Network.

EJW Community Gatherings are offered monthly as part of the Embodied Jewish Wisdom Network. Become a member to attend these events live, or to view after, and connect with our growing community!

We gather once a month as close to Rosh Chodesh (the New Moon) as possible. Each month, different members of our collective guide us in creative, connective Jewish movement & embodied text study experiences. Embodiment modalities include Alexander Technique, Authentic Movement, Body-Mind Centering, Chanting, Dance, Embodied Mindfulness, Qi Gong, Yoga and more! Recordings are made available within one week of each event.
