Embodying the Sefirot
Embodying the Sefirot
Embodying the Sefirot is an experiential journey through the seven weeks of the Omer, the sacred period between Passover and Shavuot. During this time, Jewish mystical tradition invites us to explore and refine the seven lower Sefirot, the divine attributes described in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. In this offering, these teachings are brought into the body through movement, reflection, and guided practice.
Each Sefira corresponds to both a spiritual quality and a place in the body. Through embodied exploration, we work with these energies as lived experiences rather than abstract concepts. Hesed (loving/kindness) invites expansion and flow through the right arm and side of the body, while Gevurah (boundaries and strength) brings focus, structure, and containment through the left side. At the heart center, Tiferet (harmony and compassion) balances these opposing forces. The lower body continues the journey into action and physical expression with Netzach (perseverance), Hod (surrender and gratitude), Yesod (foundation and creative life force), and finally Malchut (grounded presence), where spiritual awareness becomes fully expressed in the physical world.
These practices invite you to explore the balance between expansion and contraction, effort and surrender, spirit and form. By bringing the qualities of the Sefirot into movement and awareness, the body becomes a living map of the Tree of Life, supporting deeper integration of mind, heart, and spirit.
This offering includes curated music playlists and guided practices designed to support your journey of embodying each Sefira. Through these resources, you are invited to deepen your connection to the wisdom of the Omer and experience the Sefirot as qualities that can be felt, expressed, and lived in everyday life.
